Recipes to Try
My stack of cookbooks is always growing, as is the pile of reciple-filled magazines shoved in with them. Dozens of pages are dog-eared and others are marked with slips or paper or post-it notes. It turns out that this isn’t the most efficient way to keep track of recipes I want to try, especially those I find on the internet. To help me remember and to let you know what’s on my cooking agenda (though for some the day may be far off), here’s the ever-evolving list. Suggested additions welcome!
- Maccheroni Quattro Formaggi Villa d’Este, Gourmet Magazine, 1/06, p. 92. Added 1/06.
Cauliflower Cheddar Gratin with Horseradish Crumbs,Gourmet Magazine, 1/06, p. 131-132. Added 1/06.
Easy, tasty, comfortable dish that I will definitely make again. Also great as a slightly healtheer and wheat-free alternative to Mac & Cheese. Made 1/06.
Black Sticky Gingerbread, Macrina Cookbook via Seattlest. Added 12/05.
This cake looks great and the handling of the pears is brilliant, but honestly the cake itself wasn’t worth it. My recipe, which I’ll post someday soon, is faster, healthier, and, reviewers around my house agreed, much tastier. Made 1/06.
