I know I live in a hole. I hadn't ever heard of the "tail of the dragon" till I JFGI.
Any road that has a web page (featuring a RV no less) loses points right out the gate.

I saw no livestock of any kind on my drive. The cows in the pens along the road I guess, but not free-range. Too bad, would have made a good photo.

It's been 36 hours, I need a fix. Damn that road is good. Maybe next time I'll have to borrow your car for the drive. :) I'd be dead.

thanks for suggesting this route - on the very next day, i had the exact same experience. this route, albeit much longer, is *MUCH* better than the infamous Tail of the Dragon - no competition in my mind. if i could drive 58 on weekly basis, me, and the Porsche, would be quite happy.

one note of caution: watch out for the massive flock of sheep near the beginning of 58! i came around a corner and there were hundreds of sheep everywhere - the road, the hillside, and the pasture.

i particularly like the roller coaster hills on 58 - i definitely lost a front wheel in the air at least once.
