You haven't tried Perbacco yet? If you like Quince, you will also like Perbacco. I went several times with the firm this summer - though my like of the place might also correlate with the fact that I was not paying.

Wow - thanks Chuck! I will start adding these into the proper list.

I have been to Sakae in Burlingame many times. It's definitely some of the better sushi on the Peninsula and is reasonably priced, but there's better in SF.

found this, adding some suggestions that i think you should like (despite our culinary preferences)

SF:
- Sebo for fish in the city (recommended by those who should know)
- Bar Crudo (a nice treat after a day of shopping in union sq - reviews on blog)
- Bi-Rite Creamery

South of SF:
- Sakae (excellent sushi @ reasonable prices? that's what everyone says...)

NY:
- Kuruma Zushi (if you feel like a near-Sawa experience; some say better)
- Fatty Crab (similar to momofuku - very high quality @ very reasonable prices)
- Donut Plant (best donuts? possibly)
- Jean Georges proper - i believe you ate in the Nougat Room, different experience
- Le Bernardin - best cooked fish you may ever eat

France:
- Michel Bras (middle nowhere) is you.
- L'Arpege (Paris) is divine.

Spain:
- Hispania (outside Barcelona) sounds near-perfect. read about it on gastroville.com
- Etxebarri (san sebastian) sounds perfect.

Hong Kong:
- Victoria Seafood - order anything w/ crab and/or crab roe and order a steamed fish

Toronto:
- Eigensinn Farm - it should be absolute ly you (just make sure to specify vegitarian.)

Phoenix:
- Pizzeria bianco - multiple reports of best pizza in the country

[...] I first figured out where Larkspur actually is when The San Francisco Magazine printed a glowing review and full-page glossy photo a Straus Dariy Soft Serve cone dripping with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with fleur de sel. Odd, I know, but in an intriguing way. About a month later, a city-dwelling friend shared his opinion that Pizzeria Picco makes one of the best pizzas in the area. It’s been on the To Visit List since, but we haven’t found much occasion to head that way, until today. [...]

[...] As part of this process, I’ve revamped the restaurant reviews index as the new All In :: Restaurant Guide, which includes ratings for several restaurants we haven’t actually gotten around to reviewing here. Our list of Restaurants to Try has also gotten too long as we’ve crossed many off over time, so spots we’ve tried will be moved over to the Restaurant Guide. There are many ratings and reviews to add, so check back for updates over the next few days. [...]
